Dr. Thottathil is an Emergency Physician working at the Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus, as well as the Medical Director for the Cleveland Clinic's Forensic Nursing Program, and a Clinical Instructor for the Case Western University School of Medicine. Throughout her career as an emergency physician in Cleveland, she has dedicated innumerable hours to enhancing forensic medical services in Northeast Ohio. Her work has culminated in the launch of a Cleveland Clinic Mobile Forensic Unit accompanying human trafficking stings through Northeast Ohio, and multiple educational initiatives highlighting medical forensic needs and services to physicians, nurses, and emergency responders. She currently serves as ACEP's representative on the Sexual Assault Advisory Board of Ohio and the Ohio Attorney General's Human Trafficking Commission, where she works collectively with other stakeholders in the Ohio forensic medicine community to define and expand access to quality care and resources for survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking in Ohio.
