Abstracts will be peer reviewed for presentation at the 2024 Research Forum.

To be accepted, abstracts must be judged to be scientifically valid and yielding important information which is likely to ultimately affect patient care. Abstracts submitted, or the resultant manuscripts, must not appear in published form prior to release of the meeting abstracts in the October 2024 issue of Annals of Emergency Medicine. Case reports or subject reviews are not considered original research.

The Research Committee and ad hoc reviewers will review abstracts blinded to authors. Notification will be sent in July 2024. We regret that we cannot give notification information by telephone.

Accepted abstracts will fall into the following categories:

Brooks F. Bock

The Brooks F. Bock lecture provides a forum to recognize innovative emergency medicine researchers whose work has contributed to the advancement of the specialty. The session also includes award presentations for the Best Medical Student Abstract and the Best Resident Abstract.
