Dr. Slovis is the founding Chairman of Vanderbilt’s Department of Emergency Medicine and served in that role from 1992 to 2020. He is currently the Medical Director for the Nashville Fire Department and Nashville’s International Airport.

Dr. Shannon Toohey is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of California, Irvine Department of Emergency Medicine and the Residency Program Director.
