Ronald (“Ron”) A. Hellstern, MD, FACEP(E) was engaged in the active practice of emergency medicine from 1972 to 2001 and has been a practice management/medical software development consultant since then. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and a recipient of ACEP’s James D. Mills Award for Outstanding Contribution to Emergency Medicine. Ron has taught and written widely for the College, and is a charter faculty member of ACEP’s Emergency Department Director’s Academy. Most recently he was a Section Editor and author for the Second Edition of Strauss and Mayer’s Emergency Department Management.

Learn Life Saving Skills
This course allowed me to recognize the training, skills and professionalism required by hospital administrators. A residency in emergency medicine gave me the necessary life saving skills for my profession, but this course adds management skills to practice the business of emergency medicine.
