Dear ACEP members,
Your Board of Directors and ACEP staff have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and the dominoes falling across the world. Knowing how urgently our emergency medicine community is needed to combat this crisis, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our upcoming spring meetings:
If you have registered for any of these events, we’ll email you directly with more information.
None of this is easy, but we emergency physicians are used to facing challenges. This COVID-19 problem is new and changing rapidly, but our mission remains consistent through it all: Care for our most vulnerable.
I’ve spoken with emergency physicians across the world this week. As I listened to them, I felt a strong sense of pride in our profession as we stand on the front lines of this public health crisis. The work you’re doing is of critical importance. We are in this together. Even though we can’t meet in person at these events, we’ll take our conversations online and continue to help one another by sharing knowledge and lessons learned. We know you will still have educational needs, so we’re working to develop additional online education opportunities for you.
Your EM community is a valuable resource to help navigate these uncertain waters. Your ACEP leaders and staff are ready and willing to help. All hands are on deck, so do not hesitate to contact us.
