Kurtis Mayz
JD, MD, MBA, FACEP
Dr. Mayz is a physician on the Strategic Travel Ambassador Team (STAT) for United States Acute Care Solutions. He is the former Chair of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Saint Francis Children’s Hospital in Tulsa, Okla., and Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Oklahoma State University. He is board certified in emergency medicine and pediatric emergency medicine.
He has worked in several emergency and pediatric emergency departments around the country, encompassing a variety of different practice settings. His experience includes administrative and clinical practice. In addition to his work as a practicing clinician, Dr. Mayz has served on multiple ACEP committees, currently on Bylaws and Medical Legal.
He is the President of the Oklahoma College of Emergency Physicians. He is also actively involved in risk and claims management with United States Acute Care Solutions.
Dr. Mayz is a registered parliamentarian and a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians. He is an attorney admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and the Federal District Court of New Jersey and an arbitrator through the American Healh Law Associatation's dispute resolution service. He lectures nationally on medical-legal issues in emergency medicine and is the owner of Medical Legal Mayz Consulting LLC and Emergency Critical Care Consulting PLC (EC3).
