Shannon Toohey

Shannon Toohey is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of California, Irvine Department of Emergency Medicine. She is the Residency Program Director, a national speaker and has received awards for her work in education.  She is passionate about finding and evaluating educational best practices. She has numerous emergency medicine publications, primarily on education topics and acts as the editor-in-chief for the Journal of Education and Teaching in Emergency Medicine. She also serves as a conference chair for the Engaging Learners through Innovation and Technology course – which focuses on learning theory and its applications to medical education.
