Charlotte Wills

Dr. Charlotte Page Wills is Chair of Emergency Medicine at Alameda Health System–Highland Hospital and Associate Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. A nationally recognized leader in emergency medicine education and procedural training, she served as Residency Program Director at Highland from 2015 to 2023—building a residency widely regarded as a model for inclusive, community-centered training—and previously as Associate Program Director and Clerkship Director. She is Course Director for the ACEP Advanced and Lifesaving Emergency Medicine Procedures Cadaver Lab and has been a featured speaker and instructor at the ACEP Scientific Assembly for more than a decade. She has been an active contributor to the Council of Residency Directors in Emergency Medicine (CORD), where she has served as a national CPC judging panelist and section leader, and as an invited speaker at the CORD Academic Assembly. Her contributions to graduate medical education have been recognized with the EMRA Residency Director of the Year Award, the EMRA Associate Program Director of the Year Award, the UCSF Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators Excellence in Teaching Award, and multiple institutional teaching honors. A graduate of Bryn Mawr College and Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Wills has devoted her career to training the next generation of emergency physicians to reflect and serve the communities that need them most.
