The Emergency Medicine Resident Association (EMRA) has a growing Informatics contingent, led by its own resident-run Informatics Committee. What started as the “Tech committee” in its infancy 5 years ago, has matured into a fully-fledged EM Informatics interest group and working committee with board representation. We have seen multiple committee alumni accept Informatics fellowships, and our members have been involved in major development projects including the new EMRA Match web app and the EMRA website overhaul. In addition to featuring prominent informatics practitioners and serving as a resource for residents interested in pursuing informatics fellowships, our website will have tools to improve the quality of life of Residents and fellows through innovation. One of our focuses is creating peer-reviewed EMR macro and procedure-note references. Powered by the crowd, we believe we can significantly reduce clicks and keystrokes and contribute to trainee wellness while improving quality.

With our aligned missions, we very much look forward to further engagement and potential collaborations with ACEP’s Informatics Section!  https://www.emra.org/committees-divisions/Informatics-Committee/
