Update on Invited Speaker Who Proposed Controversial Anti-DEI Legislation

ACEP President Aisha Terry, MD, MPH, FACEP, provides an update on an invited speaker to ACEP's 2024 Leadership & Advocacy Conference, Rep. Greg Murphy (R-NC), who recently introduced legislation that would cut off federal funding to medical schools with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) offices or initiatives.

ACEP released a statement Monday reaffirming its unwavering commitment to ensuring a diverse and representative emergency physician workforce and opposes any legislation that runs counter to ACEP policies.
