Injured during routine triage

I have been attacked by multiple patients, even while simply assessing them during routine triage over the years.

I was injured in one of the assaults when a patient tried to choke me.

I was interviewing a patient when he suddenly jumped out of the bed and started to strangle me.

"I'll shoot everyone here"

One of the patients who routinely visits the ED said, “I’m gonna shoot everyone working today.”
