"Take it to Heart" is the title of ACEP's campaign to help educate women and the people who love them, about the differences in heart attack signs, symptoms, and diagnostic options between men and women. Women may not recognize that jaw or shoulder pain, or even fatigue, may signal a heart attack. Women are more likely than men to die of a first heart attack, and are also more likely to suffer a second heart attack. The campaign is funded by Astellas Pharma US, Inc.
Case Library
Welcome to the Take it to Heart Case Library. The studies posted here demonstrate how nuclear imaging was used in the assessment of cardiovascular health in women. Each case study has been developed as an educational tool by an expert in the field of nuclear cardiology and includes an interactive question and answer section and a discussion with references. These cases are not accredited for CME, but they provide the opportunity to learn more about nuclear imaging in the evaluation and management of patients in an interesting and informative format.
