Field Triage Decision Scheme: The National Trauma Triage Protocol
The CDC recently lead the development of a revised "Field Triage Decision Scheme: The National Trauma Triage Protocol." This project was completed in partnership with the American College of Surgeons – Committee on Trauma (ACS-COT) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The Field Triage Decision Scheme was developed to assist EMS Providers, EMS medical directors, and trauma system leadership in trauma patient assessment through an algorithm based on best practices in trauma triage.
