- Dr. Davlantes will review the recently updated Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines and discuss how intraosseous vascular access may be utilized by clinicians as a means of delivering crucial early goal-directed therapy to patients during the initial "golden hour" of their presentation in the ED.
- As CMS focuses on preventing infections, patient throughput and patient safety, Dr. Saussy will highlight how the use of intraosseous vascular access can both facilitate throughput and provide an alternate to central venous insertion, thereby potentially reducing associated complications and infections.
