Marketing for Chapter Educational Meetings

Because education opportunities are an important member benefit, National ACEP has embarked on a one-year pilot program in collaboration with the chapters to enhance the electronic promotion of chapter educational meetings. The varied facets of this program include:

Weekly Promotion in EM Today Newsletter

  • One promotion per chapter, per year that runs for five consecutive days
  • One chapter promotion at a time, with space reserved on first-come, first-served basis
  • Online reservation form
  • Distribution to all EM Today recipients (approximately 23,000 members worldwide)
  • Free

E-mail Message Blasts to Members in Other Chapters

  • One message per meeting, and an annual maximum of two meetings per chapter
  • Permission from other chapters must be obtained
  • ACEP takes care of distribution and will provide performance reports
  • Distribution can be customized to target specific states
  • Fees apply, including an administrative fee and a per e-mail address fee

  • Half price ads in the classified section of ACEP News for Chapters. Contact Robert Zwick with our publisher, Elsevier, for more information.

Annals of Emergency Medicine

  • Automatically includes all applications approved for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM and/or ACEP Category I Credit
  • Free service to chapters
  • ACEP chapters receive an 82% discount on advertisements in Annals of Emergency Medicine.

ACEP’s Master Calendar

  • Automatically includes all applications approved for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM and/or ACEP Category I Credit
  • By request, chapter business meetings, non-CME meetings, and meeting with CME accredited by another provider can be included
  • Linked to in Advance Notice (ACEP’s monthly CME publication), chapter e-newsletters, and chapter websites
  • Free service to chapters

Chapter Newsletter Advertising

  • Requests to other chapters to advertise meetings in their newsletter can be made individually and may include fees
