This section has been instrumental in developing ultrasound resources for emergency physicians since 1996. For members who want to keep up-to-date on the latest ultrasound issues, especially resident members who can join one section for free, this section is a must.
In addition, ultrasound is one of the fastest growing modalities for emergency physicians to use in patient care. The section produces an award-winning newsletter, developes guidelines, criteria, and information on how to perform emergency ultrasound, provides credentialing information and helps you receive reimbursement for your services. Members of this section will learn how to set up an emergency ultrasound program, components of a fellowship program, and what it takes to administratively manage ultrasound services in your ED.
