2014 Pre-Conference Events - March 17

Because of the overwhelming positive response we received from attendees on these newly added events, we're bringing them back for 2014. So plan ahead and come a day early!

Essentials in PEM

Emergency physicians, emergency nurses, pediatricians, pediatric hospitalists and family medicine physicians wishing to brush up on their knowledge of the care of children should join ACEP and AAP co-sponsored “Essentials in Pediatric Emergency Medicine”. This course is a fast moving, yet comprehensive one-day “Soup to Nuts” course on pediatric emergency medicine. You do not have to be registered for the conference to take part in this one-day event.

Pediatric Procedures Lab

A critically ill peds patient is arriving in 3 minutes - are you ready? Now you can be with ACEP's Pre-Conference Pediatric Procedures Lab! Performing emergency procedures on sick infants and children can be stressful and frustrating. In this hands-on lab, you will be given an opportunity to gain hands-on practice in a number of life-saving procedures.

By the end of the course, you will have had the opportunity to practice those critical pediatric emergency care skills you need to successfully handle a number of emergent conditions.

Richard Cantor Thumb"The Advanced Pediatric Emergency Medicine Assembly is not just another pediatric emergency medicine conference. It is an extraordinary learning experience, designed specifically for those who care for children exclusively or as part of their general patient population."
- Richard M. Cantor, MD, FAAP, FACEP
