Scientific Assembly Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to apply the latest advances in the diagnosis, treatment, clinical skills, and practice management innovations necessary for the practice of emergency medicine. Nationally recognized experts will present the latest, cutting-edge clinical and practice management techniques. A variety of methods will be used, including case presentations, evidence-based medicine, literature reviews, and in-depth coverage of the latest clinical controversies.

Research Forum Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to discuss the pros and cons of the results of a moderated oral or poster research abstract, identify research/treatment that could be applied to clinical practice, and explain research trends occurring in emergency medicine.

Content Level

All educational courses are developed at the advanced level, unless otherwise stated in the description. These courses will provide a high level of knowledge about a narrowly defined aspect of the topic. A review of the literature may be included, as well as a thorough discussion of controversies related to it.
