| Basic Function: |
Support the Quality/Health IT Director’s efforts to promote quality and performance measurement and health IT standards to protect and enhance emergency care. Research, monitor, track and report on quality and health IT activities from leading organizations in the development and approval of quality reporting and performance measures and health information technology standards. |
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a system for tracking external organization and agency quality (CMS, NQF, PCPI, AHRQ) and health IT (ONC) issues and deadlines that impact the practice of emergency medicine; provide regular status updates to the Quality/Health IT Director, Federal Affairs Director, and designated ACEP committees and sections.
- Track progress of committee and section quality and health IT activities and work plans; provide regular status updates to the Quality/Health IT Director, Federal Affairs Director, and designated ACEP committee and section leaders.
- Research, summarize, organize, edit, and coordinate development of agendas, literature reviews, evidence tables, project calendars, background materials, and other documents for distribution to relevant committees, sections, and other relevant entities in support of ACEP's quality and performance measures and health information technology standards.
- Attend and participate in groups, coalitions and entities involved in the development of health IT and quality and performance measures and standards as assigned.
- Based on recommendations from committee/section leadership and upon confirmation by ACEP's President, manage submission of materials for ACEP leaders as liaisons and other appointments associated with quality emergency care and health IT standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement quality and health IT activities at Scientific Assembly, Leadership and Advocacy, and other meetings as necessary in conjunction with Quality and Federal Affairs Assistant. This includes scheduling of volunteers and drafting copy for onsite and online promotional materials.
- Review, edit, and format certain correspondence and publications upon request.
- Provide support for committees/sections as requested and/or designated by the Director, Quality & HIT, including minutes, work plans, quarterly reports and meeting materials being prepared within deadlines, and following established College policies & formats.
- Attend business and educational meetings as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Educations and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in health policy, health administration, health services, public health, public administration, public policy or a related field or equivalent experience
- Two years related work experience in health policy, health administration, health services, public health, public policy, public administration, or health-related associations.

- Dependable, responsible and resourceful
- Master's level coursework in health policy, health administration, health services, public health, public administration, public policy or a related field preferred
